BENEFITING: NEGU|Jessie Rees FOUNDATION
For her Bat Mitzvah Project, Rose Svonkin is trying to raise money to help the Jessie Rees Foundation to give Joy Jars to kids fighting cancer.
On March 3, 2011 eleven year old Jessica Joy Rees was diagnosed with an inoperable and incurable brain tumor called DIPG. That same month Jessie started her treatment consisting of 30 rounds of radiation and daily chemotherapy at Children’s Hospital Orange County.
As she was going through her own treatment, Jessie thought of all the kids couldn't leave the hospital and wanted to do something to help them. With her parents help they developed "Joy Jars" filled with toys to give to kids fighting cancer. She also wanted to encourage them to with her little motto “NEGU“, which stands for “Never Ever Give Up.” Please help kids with cancer NEGU!
