BENEFITING: GIRL SCOUTS OF SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA
For our Service Project this year, Girl Scout Troop 61501 is building a planter wall at Stevenson School. The wall will hold approximately 150 wall mounted planters that were created last year by the students of Stevenson in the Taste of Arts Focus Program. The planters will all be filled with succulents and a drip irrigation system will be installed by the Scouts.
This service project is designed to teach our Girl Scout Troop the power of teamwork and the power of bringing together the community.
In the long term the wall itself will serve as a tool to teach the Stevenson students about Integrated Pest Management and waterwise gardening. It will also create a nice shady spot for our worm bin and a hiding place for garden tools and our compost spinner.
Please support us. This project is too large for our troop to afford on our own and too small for anyone to give us a grant...If 75 families donate just $10 we will have enough money to build the entire wall and to feed the Scouts while we do it :) Of course we will gratefully take whatever you can spare.
Anyone who donates $40 or more will get their name on out Angel Donor Plaque that will go on the wall itself.
