Playing for Change - Andi's volunteer trip to Nicaragua
Organized by: Andi Tostanoski
EVENT DATE Jan 08, 2017
I'm happy to announce that I will be spending a week in the beautiful country of Nicaragua this coming January. I will be volunteering with an amazing organization called Soccer Without Borders. Like many of you know, soccer has been a driving force in my life since I was a child. It has allowed me to see new places, meet amazing people, understand my potential, and grow into the person I want to be. Through this beautiful game I have accumulated an abundance of experiences and priceless life lessons. With them, I have come to realize that the best way to cherish these memories is to give back in any way that I can, especially to those who need it the most.
Soccer Without Borders has graciously giving me the opportunity to volunteer and do just that! I am fortunate enough to spend a week with a group of amazing and talented girls aged 7-20. While there I will not only be coaching, I will be working within the community of Granada to help bring important social, economic, and educational resources closer to the young girls in the program. During my time I will strive to positively impact each of these girls’ lives in any way I can, both on and off the field.
I'm reaching out here to ask for any donation to help support this cause. I will be tirelessly coaching in Colorado Springs to raise money for my trip and I would greatly appreciate any contribution to the Soccer Without Borders organization on my behalf. Additionally, I will be collecting used soccer gear to donate once I get to Nicaragua. If you or anyone you know has some spare gear, please feel free to reach out and I will find a way to pick it up.
Lastly, I wanted to say thank you to each of you who has read or contributed to this cause. Both Soccer Without Borders and I could not affect change without people like you. THANK YOU!
