We Surpassed Our Goal!
January 06, 2017
The Homeless Children's Playtime Project provides trauma-informed play to over 700 children each year, ages 6 months to 18 years, living in temporary housing in our nation's capital. We provide:
- special guests – including a visiting NASA astronaut – who encourage children to dream big;
- healthy snacks to fight food insecurity; and
- mentors to promote education, resilience and connectivity.
Your generous gift directly benefits our children – from field trips to pizza parties to arts and crafts activities. Children learn and heal best through play. During the holidays, we sponsor nearly 400 children and teens experiencing homelessness – your generous gift helps offer normalcy during a time in a child's life that is filled with uncertainty.
Help us continue to provide colorful play areas, staffed by trained volunteers who foster resiliency and healing through the power of play.
