Hi friends, I'm so embarrassed to have to do this but I feel I have no other choice. Unfortunately for the past 4 years or so I have been suffering in silence from Ulcers of the leg due to venous insufficiency.

The illness I have happens when the heart pumps blood through the veins and goes down the leg and normally would be pumped back up and back to the heart. In my case the blood goes down to the foot but doesnt go back up. (Basically my veins are not working) The blood then pools in the foot causing major swelling and eventually causes ulcers.

The same exact thing that happens to people with serious diabetes. Unfortunately just like diabetes, If untreated there is a high chance of amputation. Up until about 6-7 months ago, I was managing with at home treatments under the care of (health insurance) doctors. Then I had a DVT (Deep Venous Thrombone), a blood clot that goes to the lungs. I was rushed to the hospital and fortunately, it passed without killing me.

After this, the wounds on my legs started to get worse and worse and very painful. Its now at the point where its out of control. My kids see me cry every day from the pain. It feels like my legs are literally on fire and theres no water to put it out.

I've been to many specialists and was refered to one of the best doctors in the field. His name is Dr. Moshe Halak (He is the head of the vascular department at Tel Hashomer Sheba Hospital) and he told me I only have 2 options. The first is conventional surgery which includes a major skin graft and tubes down the legs. The second is called Sclerotherapy. Its an extreme form of Sclerotherapy that consists of injections to the bad veins using ultrasound and closing them off. This then helps the good veins to work harder. Its outpatient and has a very high success rate.

If I go with the conventional surgery and it doesnt work out, there is a high chance of amputation. That really scares me. I love my kids and they need a Dad who's healthy and strong. My problem is, that currently in Israel they only offer Sclerotherapy through private hospitals. Israel's health insurance will not cover this treatment. This is where I need help.

Dr. Halak runs a private hospital called N.A.R.A. in Ramat Gan that offers this sclerotherapy treatment. My situation is so bad that if I don't raise the money soon, surgery will be my only option left. I am so embarrassed to have to ask for help but this is litterally the difference between life and death. I have posted some pictures of my legs to show the seriousness of my illness but please be warned, its quite gruesome.

Whether your able to help or not, I want to thank you for taking the time to check up on me. I really am out of options and hope that you will like and share my page as much as you can. Every penny helps dramatically. If you want to donate offline, please private msg me or contact my family @ 305-653-6982

Please feel free to contact me anytime. I have also posted a few videos of my legs on you tube to show how its getting worse fast. If you would like the link, please ask.

Thank you and much love

-Josh
