BENEFITING: Whiskers and Tails Rescue Foundation
Hello Internet. My name is Autumn. I live on the Southside of Chicago(land) where I have taken care of strays most of my adult life. There is a colony in Bridgeport near and dear to my heart (and wallet, ugh) that desperately needs rescue intervention. A handful have already been ear tipped, as they were TNR 'd piecemeal, and a few have been placed over the years, but.. Unfortunately the numbers have exploded. There are dozens of them. Literally dozens. I have asked for help in the past but was never able to get anything going. I do what I can for them, when I can. Sadly that isn't nearly enough. Some are friendly. A handful are skittish but will orbit nearby. At least one has a litter I haven't seen yet. The building that they shelter in is condemned. I have been unable to contact the owner. The majority of them are black or tuxedo and with Halloween and the threat of winter right around the corner it's not the best time of year to be a black cat. I am so, so excited that Whiskers and Tails Rescue Foundation has agreed to help finally manage their numbers. It's not going to be cheap. There are at least 10 cats that will need a spay/neuter. A couple are pregnant. It's going to be a process, to say the least. Anything you give will be appreciated and helpful. The funds go directly to Whiskers and Tails. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and here is the part where I bribe you with cat pictures.
