Please help us pay for medical cost for Denis
Organized by: Johanness Dialo
We are friends of Denis. Denis has always been a normal happy young man and has always been the helpful kind, with a big heart to care for other even. A very responsible young man indeed. Denis has always been a normal young man until five years ago when he suddenly fell ill. We all thought it was a minor disease such as cholera or something ralated to that as it was a rainy season when this happened.
He was quickly rushed to the hospital where doctors carried out multiple test on him and the outcome was most shocking to us, his family and him as well. Apparently, denis had a hole in his heart, which is simply referred to as congenital heart defect – a problem with the heart's structure that is present at birth. Congenital heart defects change the normal flow of blood through the heart.
This got worse every day as denis could no longer perform every day tasks or even walk for longer distances, a physical excercise which is something he loved to do. He would often tire off quickly and therefore make his body wear out quickly. At the moment, his state has worsened and the body has worn out to an extent that he is just a shade of his former self.
A couple of years back, good friend ours who is a nurse at a local hospital made arrangement for Denis to visit a specialist at a hospital in India. The cost was minimal and we could afford that at the time but this fell apart on the last minute. This was the only chance we had to save Denis. We however haven't lost hope. Depsite the hardship we face and the rising cost of everyday items and medicines, we believe their are people out there who would wish to see Denis get well.
At the moment, all we can do is pay for his medicines to ease his pain and prolong his life. All the funds raised in this campaign will be used to pay for his medical bills as well as any other expenses towards his well being.
We have had a fundraiser in the past for Denis and it was very helpful but his medical needs are ongoing. We don’t like asking for handouts, but we need to know we did everything we could possibly do to care for Denis. Thank you all so much for your continued love and support. We wouldn’t be where we are today if it wasn’t for each and every one of you!
