I want to say my heart near fell through the floor when I heard that Jeff Camber had passed away. First I want to send my love and prayers to his family, children, nephew, his girlfriend, and his huge collection of friends. Secondly, I want to say that in all the years I have known him-which is my entire life- he only ever made me smile and feel like I was a special person. He could tease you and giggle, then it would build to that uproarious laugh that I will hear forever- and you'd laugh too and you would feel better about yourself, about him, about the day, about the whole damn world. I always liked Jeff-always. Always enjoyed seeing him. He always asked about my family. He told good stories; said supportive and kind things. He gave praises to others. He looked out for family and friends. My littlest girls got to know him well when they had the privilege of hanging out at the Feed store for a summer. A few nights ago KIana (15) had just gotten home after 10 hours of lifeguard class. She was pretty quiet and tired. Then she spoke, "Mama, do you know when Jeff's funeral well be, I wanna go. He was a good person." I never once told him what I thought of him. Had no idea I should have. I would like to think that he knew that from all that laughter and the conversations we had...there was an awful lot of kindness in his voice, in his way, in his laugh. I didn't know until yesterday what a huge place it....no, He, held in my heart. So to you Jeff, "Thank you for your friendship, kindness, brotherly love... God Bless you Jeff and God Speed to you as you join your Dad, Brother, and all your loved ones and friends. I/We will miss you dearly...a whole lot of people will:) There is a song that Kiana sings and plays on guitar a lot that I really like-I pay most attention to the chorus line "I love you a saint, or a sinner". It's about accepting another human being, the "good and the trying parts-all part of the same. It's about how we humans are flawed by nature-we are human, and our faults, or mistakes and imperfections don't cancel the essence of love and goodness in our hearts, or our worth as human beings. For some reason this song keeps playing in my mind as I am walking through these sad feelings of the loss of this friend. 2 years ago
