Dear Friends: I need help buying a camper for Willie Criss so that I can get him out of a tent and into shelter. Every little bit helps and no donation is too small! Please SHARE this post so your friends can donate and / or spread the word. Willie Criss is a 63 year old homeless man whom I've known for about four years. Willie is an honest, kindhearted and hard-working man. He earns a nominal wage (about $15-$20 a day) sweeping, stocking & opening the door at a local business. His job has been created by a very kind store manager who pays him out of his own pocket just so Willie has a place to go and something to do. I wish I could buy him a camper by myself but I can't. Recently, I've provided land to him so that he can live safely on my family's property. But, all he has for shelter is a tent. Willie is suffering from age, homelessness and a variety of medical conditions and living in the elements is making matters worse. I do what I can to help him like washing his clothes and welcoming him into my home to shower but what he needs most is safe, warm shelter. He's never asked me for anything and he appreciates everything. Willie has had a medical emergency and is in the hospital right now suffering from a UTI and a torn bowel compounded by dehydration. The elements of homelessness are making matters worse. I'd like to have housing for him so that when he's discharged from the hospital he can recover on a bed surrounded by four walls rather than on the ground in a tent. I am seeking a previously owned RV or camper that we can fix up for Willie. If you or someone you know has one to donate, please let me know. Otherwise, I've found a few online that are in the $7500 - $8500 range that I'd like to try to buy. If we all pull together, I just know we can do this!
