Please Help Us Save This Puppy's Life
Organized by: Shannon George
At a Girl Scout community meeting a 12 week old puppy was found all alone in the remote desert area where the Girl Scout council is located. We decided to give her a home and make her part of our family. At first she was weak and tired but we attributed that to having been in the desert without food and water. We made an appointment for her at our family vet for Monday morning (we found her on a Wednesday night) but Sunday night it was clear that something was wrong. She would no longer eat or drink water. She could not stand on her own and was very weak. We took her to the Emergency Vet Clinic where we were told she was near death. Her blood glucose was dangerously low. She has inflamed intestines and has had to have a blood transfusion. She also has some kind of respiratory issue. She is being hospitalized and the vet is still trying to figure out what is wrong. We have already spent near 1,600 dollars but she will need more treatment and hospitalization that will cost more than we have. Please help us save her! It is not her fault someone was careless with her life. Please help us give her a chance to live happily we us! We've named her Hossa after future Hall of famer and all around badass hockey player Marian Hossa. If anything is left after she makes it through we will donate it to our local humane society.
