Hello Family, Friends, Acquaintances,
My name is Kevin Pribil. I am an active member and President of the Ken Pribil Jr. Foundation. My friend, Joe Dinielli, and I (amongst others!) are leading the charge this year to fight cancer and promote higher education. We need your help and support - continue reading for details on the Polar Plunge funddraiser we're holding on Sunday, February 5th!
Last year, close family & friends gathered for the Polar Plunge in Long Beach, NY. It was an absolute blast! Not only was it a great time, but we also raised over $2,000 for cancer research and college scholarships. We're plunging again this February 2017 on Super Bowl Sunday and plan to show up with even larger numbers.
We need you, our #1 fans and supporters, to join the fun (yes, come plunge with us!) and show your awareness while fundraising for a great cause. All proceeds go directly to the Ken Pribil Jr. Foundation; a 501(c)(3) IRS accredited not-for-profit organization, where all donations are tax deductible.
What is the Ken Pribil Jr. Foundation? Ken Jr. was my older brother. He enjoyed skiing, listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers and staying up late with friends. He was my loving and intelligent older brother. After his first year at the University at Albany he was diagnosed with sarcoma cancer and, about 6 months later, he passed away. Not a day goes by that we don't think about his memory and the bright future he had ahead.
To remember him in a positive light, we dedicated his Foundation to fundraising for cancer research studies and supporting students' quests for higher education. To date, we've made research grants to Montefiore Hospital in NYC and awarded over 15 scholarships. We recognize that cancer does not discriminate and, although we can't bring Ken Jr. back, we can change someone elses battle with cancer. We are making every effort to ensure all families and friends have the support they need to overcome a battle with cancer.
Please sponsor our team as we battle the cold, and more importantly, battle cancer. Visit our website at www.kenpribiljr.org to get involved or to make a donation. All donations are tax deductible. Thank you for your support, thoughts, participation, friendship. See you at the beach!
