Police Brutality

He passed when I was 19. I could finally stop looking over my shoulder and began self-healing. At 42, I was pulled over by a State Trooper, on DUI allegations. I insisted on a breathalyzer, and was denied. He through me into his back seat & hauled me off to Arapahoe County Jail. (De ja vu!) In the custody, and at the hands of 3 male officers, the state patrol officer & 1 female officer, (after I had passed a breathalyzer) I was violently stripped of my clothes (all 5 officers participated) physically abused/ tortured, sexually assaulted & raped. I was led naked, to an all-male floor and thrown in a suicide cell (on false pretences) tortured again, ridiculed over the loud speaker, and was deliberately dehydrated. I remained unclothed as men, both officers and inmates passing by peered into the rectangular glass. There was no bed or toilet, only a drain on the cold hard surface covered in feces. The heat was intentionally turned up. I begged for a phone call to contact my ex-husband, whom I knew would arrive with a lawyer. This phone call was denied. Because the heat was turned up so high, my hands swelled. 2 officers came. In to warm me that if I could not manage to remove the ring, within 5 minutes, they'd return to cut it off. I prayed to GOD as I tugged, twisted & pulled. It finally came off. I remained in this cell for 24 hours. Between 2 -4 am, my ex had contacted every hospital and jail twice in the state. Although I was indeed there, they stated that I was not. In the morning, he dialed everyone again, this time they admitted g hat I was in their custody. They said he would need to pay $1000 bond. He arrived at noon with the bonds money, yet I was not set free until after 8 pm that evening. On my way out the door, an officer grabbed me back in and said "WWAIT! we haven't booked you yet". Eventually, I was unaccountable for 24 hours, and unfortunately, the Chief in charge was away on his honeymoon . With your helping hands, I would like to raise awareness and help to put an end in police misconduct & brutality . . . both on the streets and behind bars. They have made a pledge to protect us, not destroy us! I have suffered PTSD and a phobia of police
