I gave 25 years of my life being a police officer. A year after I retired, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer and HER2 positive receptors in 2009. I thought my life was over. After a lumpectomy and a partial lymphectomy, I was given 5 months of chemotherapy along with Herceptin, which I had to continue for another 7 months, and a month of radiation. It was (is) a long process, but I can proudly say I kicked cancer's butt!!
Cancer is an expensive disease. I am so proud to be dancing for the Pink Fund. Worrying about finances while you are sick is not necessary. The Pink Fund is there for those who need the financial assitance. It helps pay those utility bills and puts groceries on the table, so it's one less thing to worry about so you can concentrate on getting well.
Breast cancer changed my life. I now live life to it's fullest. So when I was asked to dance for The Pink Fund, there was no hesitation!! I hope to see you at the benefit. Be sure to purchase tickets here also. Seeing my dance moves will be very entertaining!!
I hope you will support me in this endeavor. Whether you can give $10, $100 or $1000, it will be appreciated. Feel free to donate in someone's honor or memory. Thanks in advance for your generosity. and I hope to see you at the benefit.
