BENEFITING: Humane Society for Hamilton County
ORGANIZER: Humane Society for Hamilton County
EVENT DATE: Aug 24, 2013
My Dear Friends,
Yes, it's me again. And yes, I'm asking for your help. Raising money for the Humane Society for Hamilton County is not a once a year thing...not twice....it's something we have to do every day. Until that magical day when the unwanted, abused and abandoned animals stop arriving, I'll be asking for your help.
The Parade of Paws Dog Walk is fundraiser for our Survivor Program. What many don't know about our shelter is that we receive all of the hit-by-car, abuse/neglect cases, and other animals found seriously injured in our community. The Survivor Program Fund is the only way we can give those animals a second chance. It is also this fund that helps us treat animals with life-threatening illnesses. We rely on 100% donations to fund this very important program.
My team this year is for all the seniors who represent an alarming increase in the number of animals entering the shelter. Some of them as old as 17 are being surrendered by their families after all those years of serving as a loyal companion. And while their owners have failed them in most cases in their final years, months, sometimes weeks....we will not.
Please join me in serving as their voice, their advocate, their chance to live the rest of their lives with love and dignity. GO TEAM GRAY MUZZLE!
So in the words of Elaine....can you spare a square (I mean a $10 spot :)
Thank you for your support and not defriending me on Facebook :)
