Violence and abuse begins in the womb!

When a woman is abused and pregnant, her child is also abused. Far too often we ONLY seek help for victims, and neglect their families, especially the children, who are ALSO victims living in the violence.

Our goal is to address violence and abuse before it begins, and becomes a child’s reality! Angry abused children grow up to be angry abusive or abused adults! We at The Positive Results Corporation address Teen Dating & Intimate Partner Violence, Sexual Assault and Bullying in youth and communities of Color through “Real Talk” conversations and workshops in schools, community and faith based organizations!

Our vision is to build “Positive Results” communities to encourage a legacy of anti-violence and prevention approaches to reduce violence in our homes, schools and communities by educating youth, young adults and families in Communities of Color to make positive decisions about their lives and future direction, to reduce dropout rates, unhealthy behavior, establish boundaries, healthy relationships and employable young adults.

Did you know, October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month? The primary reason domestic violence survivors remain in or return to an abusive relationship is because they don’t have the financial resources to break free and stay free.

The Positive Results Corporation will celebrate survivors, and simultaneously educate Woman and Girls of all ages by hosting our 1st Annual Purple Purse Tea Party at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Sunday, October 23, 2016, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

We are honored to be a part of The Allstate Foundation Purple Purse Challenge 2016, for the 3rd year in a row. It's a fundraising campaign launched by The Allstate Foundation where charities benefiting domestic violence survivors compete to raise the most money with the top team winning a grand prize cash donation of $100,000 from The Allstate Foundation. The contest begins on September 28th, and end October 25, 2016.          Will You Help Us Win?

Our goal for the Purple Purse Tea Party and Allstate Challenge is to bring 100 women from all walks of life, to mentor 100 girls, share powerful truths of survival and resiliency, hope and healing and financial empowerment, and raise the needed funds to continue to educate and empower youth and their families through workshops, Youth Peer Education programs and community outreach throughout the year.

Our Expert speakers and panelist are skillful, knowledgeable community partners and the PRC Team who will engage, empower and educate our guest in a spectacular afternoon of Sisterhood, Safety, and Serenity, while enjoying a delicious Tea Party!

How You Can Help

We invite you and your organization to sponsor the Purple Purse Tea Party! Your generous donation will allow us to invite and host girls who may not otherwise be able to attend such an amazing event. We will donate 100 tickets to young ladies age 10 – 25, who have little or no means to purchase their ticket or attend an event such as this. The young ladies may hail from all areas around Southern California, or you may know of a group, organization or individual you would like to donate the tickets to.

It is estimated that anywhere between 3.3 million and 10 million children witness domestic violence annually. Research demonstrates that exposure to violence can have serious negative effects on children's development.

Sharmila Lawrence, National Center for Children in Poverty, Domestic Violence and Welfare Policy: Research Findings That Can Inform Policies on Marriage and Child Well-Being 5 (2002).

The girls attending may have already been exposed to abusive behavior, lack of stability, and a difficult time understanding their importance. We will provide strategies to prevent and end abuse, improve self-esteem and financial literacy, and build a network for her future.

Another way to Support

We would be delighted to have you join our team as a fundraiser. By reaching out to your network of supporters, you can help us make an even bigger impact to prevent and end domestic violence. All you have to do is Go Here and click 'Fundraise for This Campaign.'

In a study of eighth and ninth graders, 25 percent indicated that they had been victims of dating violence, including eight percent who disclosed being sexually abused.

Black females experienced intimate partner violence at a rate 35% higher than that of white females, and about 22 times the rate of women of other races.
