BENEFITING: ANIMAL HUMANE SOCIETY
In my area the local shelters and Humane Societies are regularly over run with stray dogs and cats, as well as those given up because of people and families who are either unable to care for them or because they've been given up on, abused, neglected or just plain not wanted anymore. As the proud owner of 2 cats, a dog, as well as several small animals I see the daily ins and outs of pet ownership as well as the occassional struggle to feed or give proper vet care. At the animal shelter here, I see the love and dedication in the eyes of the workers and volunteers. They struggle every day as a non profit organization to feed these poor animals, to give them comfortable beds to sleep in, to give them proper medical care and to find them loving homes. I believe it's my responsibility, our responsibility to help these defenseless creatures and to do our part in giving them the second chance that they so desperately deserve. Please help no matter how big or small the donation every little bit can do a world of difference. If you can't donate your money, donate your time. Find a local shelter and volunteer in your own time. Buy a small toy or a blanket and drop it off. Your help is always needed and appreciated beyond belief.
