BENEFITING: BORGEN PROJECT
The Borgen Project and I are not satisfied with the current way that the U.S. deals with world poverty. I want to change that, and the only way that we can do so is by getting the word out to constituents to pressure their representatives to take fighting poverty more seriously. Donating to my cause will do that: it will allow The Borgen Project to reach out to people across the nation and bring them up to speed on what our government is not doing, and how we can change that.
With only $500 we can increase awareness of how individuals can make a clear difference in the lives of millions, make sure that peoples' voices get heard across the country, and support those in need across the world. Only a $10 donation can legitimately save lives. Any money given helps The Borgen Project mobilize people across the country and pass poverty reduction legislation that will save millions of lives. It doesn't take much, but it does need someone to step up and help.
It only takes 50 people donating $10 each to raise these funds. ($10 = three lattes from Starbucks, one plate of Pad Thai, half a shirt from Threadless.com, or two and a half gallons of gas)
