BENEFITING: Conservators' Center
In case of inclement weather that causes power outages, we are equipped with small generators to run the coolers and freezers that house our animals’ food, the heated buildings for our small geriatric residents, and other necessary functions. However, while we have some generators, we do not have enough to power all of our needed areas and devices. We are also in need of additional electrical infrastructure, such as electrical poles, to ensure we are able to run generators where they are needed across the grounds.
The cost to purchase additional generators and to upgrade our electrical infrastructure is $5,000, and our goal is to fully fund this project before the possible inclement weather of this coming winter.
Please give what you can to this special cause. We encourage you to come visit us, meet our animals, and awaken your wild side!
The Conservators’ Center in Burlington, North Carolina is home to nearly 100 exotic animals representing 19 species – including more than 30 lions and tigers. This haven for wild animals in need of a home has a 3-part mission: education, conservation, and rescue. We are dedicated to providing our residents with the highest possible quality of care.
*The estimated cost of this project includes material and labor. Any funds raised above the amount shown will go directly to our General Fund.
