Magical moments happen at camp. Whether you are ten years old or sixty years old, camp is a place where joy itself is found. CS Lewis talks about his conversion in such a way- magical, inexplicable moments in his childhood play when he was surprised by joy. When I think of this, I picture the coming of dusk in the ponderosas where brilliant orange shatters through the branches like light through a crystal. I love being involved in camp because it is at camp that many experience such a moment, that moment of God breaking through. Our hope is that life long memories made at camp will lead the young (and the old) back to places where they have encountered God and have been profoundly changed by the moment. Magical moments happen at camp. Will you be a part of that magic?
