Nearly half of the world’s population cooks indoors using solid fuels (wood, charcoal, animal dung, etc). Most cooking done in the developing world is over open fires or with stoves that produce harmful emissions which cause harmful levels of indoor air pollution, compromising women and children’s health and safety. We want to create an educational animation which shows people in the developing world simple steps they can take to protect themselves from the harmful effects of indoor air pollution. The money raised from this fundraiser will go to Scientific Animations without Borders, who will create this educational animation.
Scientific Animations with Borders (SAWBO) has worked to create many valuable educational videos which can be translated into many different languages and shared around the world. SAWBO has made important videos about Ebola prevention, Zika, prevention, and handwashing. This educational animation about indoor air polllution will be available in their library of videos and will be translated into many different languages as well.
