prison for medical cannabiss patient fund
Organized by: Brandon Anderson
I am a medical cannabis patient from northern california. I am a single father of two beautiful girls. I depend on cannabis to complete my everyday tasks. I had a surgery on my head at 2 months old, due to a condition called cranial sinistosis. I have a scar on my head over 16 inches long. I get debilitating headaches. That cause me to lose sleep. and affect my appetite, lasting days sometimes. Twice I have been to the Emergency room to have demerol shots in brain stem. Besides these painful shots, Medical cannabis is the only medication that helps my condition. I was arrested last year, and sent to jail for cultivation of marijuana. Even though i am a medical patient. The sherriffs office red tagged my house. Which resulted in me being evicted, and my girls and I had to sleep in a tent in the rain for two weeks. Then I finally found a friend who let us move into a small trailer on there property. With no electricity or plumbing. I have sold most of our belongings just to be able to live. I have been fighting this case with a public defendor almost a year. And now the defense attorney has made an offer 16 mos as the low term. And 3 years as the high term. I cannot believe they want send me to prison for a plant. As I could easily be prescribed demerol, or oxycontin which I refuse to take. My children solely depend on me. I have no help from family, or government assistance programs. I need a real lawyer to help keep me from going to prison. So I can raise my family, and keep my daughters from going to a foster home.
