The Holy Spirit wishes to equip all of God’s people for service. His gifts are freely distributed according to his sovereign will so that the whole Body of Christ can function effectively (Acts 2:38-39.) Spiritual leadership is not about an official ‘title’ … it’s about leading others, as we ourselves are led by the Spirit.
Dunamis is suitable for all Christians who are thirsting for growth, regardless of their denominational back ground, culture, economic level or educational level. It will benefit anyone who has a desire to grow as a disciple, a hunger for the scriptures, and a willingness to become more open to the Spirit’s work. Whatever your current role within the Church, Dunamis will help your faith and your service grow richer, deeper and fuller.
Our mission is to see these promises fulfilled as Christians become empowered by the Holy Spirit to do the work of Jesus Christ where ever the LORD has called them.
The Dunamis Institute, a ministry of PRMI, is a unique means that God has raised up to fulfill His purposes. This uniqueness is seen in the goal of our equipping programs. The goal for all who participate in the dynamic ministry of the Dunamis Institute is to be able to take part in the ministries of Jesus Christ, growing the church and advancing the Kingdom of God by:
1. Becoming aware of Jesus’ promise of the Holy Spirit’s equipping, offered to all called into the Kingdom of God. (Acts 2:38-39)
2. Acquiring a basic personal and academic knowledge of the Bibles teaching of, and a reformed theological framework for understanding the Person and work of the Holy Spirit. (1 Cor 12:1)
3. Receiving the gifts and power of the Holy Spirit according to Acts 1:8 to be effective witnesses to Jesus Christ.
4. Growing in the dynamic of cooperating with the Holy Spirit in all the diverse areas that Jesus calls us to have a part in His Kingdom Work. (Healing prayer ministry, evangelism, growing the church, intercession deliverance and etc.
These four aspects are the basic building blocks of any Christians participation in the Kingdom of God. These are so basic and universal to our Christian faith that the Dunamis Institute teaching materials and equipping approach has transcended denominations as well as cultures over the last 40 years.
Our calling is not to engage in the various denominational political battles, or divisive theological debates, but to equip Christians who are centered in Jesus Christ, grounded in the bible as the word of God, and are cooperating with the Holy Spirit to advance the Kingdom of God in their local context.
