Being an unsponsered college bike racer, bike racing is very expensive. What I am looking for is to raise money primarily for the high cost of bike registration as well as travel around the country for these races. I have proven my abilities in the past in both mountain and road biking, finish 1st in one 24 hour race on a four person team, and following it up the next year with second . My grand goal is to qualify for the prestigious Leadville 100 in Leadville, Colorado. Other races I plan on competing in are the 24 Hours of Great Glen, in Glen, New Hampshire; Wilmington Whiteface 100 in Whiteface, NY; 12 Hours of MIllstone in Websterville, Vermont; High Cascades 100 in Bend, Oregon; and Oregon 24 hour in Bend, Oregon. Doing all of these will be an obvious stretch of difficulty money wise but with enough donations I can make as much of it happen as possible. All of these races except the 12 Hours of Millstone will be done as a solo rider with the help of a pit crew for help. There will also be a name contest for the highest contributions, my team name will be decided by whoever has the highest bid, no matter what (as long as it's family friendly and acceptable of course) other than that I i will make my team name whatever the suggestion is, so be as creative as you want! The bikes I will be using are my pair of Yeti mountain bikes, one ASR 7 named Doctor, and one ASR 5 named Achilles, as well as my new training Trek Madone road bike Valerie. I will begin training as soon as cleared by doctors for my shoulder recovery no less than 25 hours a week so i will be ready for the earliest race.
