WHO WE ARE:
We are The Productive Collective and we need YOUR help to do good work! The PC is a group of urban farmers, architects, artists, contractors, renewable energy consultants, and community organizers committed to urban citizenship. We identify projects that will affect positive social, economic, and educational growth in our Greater Boston communities and make them happen!
This pilot project explores the potential of combining urban farming, grassroots citizenship, and design education. In addition to being our literal testing grounds, the pilot acts as a developmental tool for partnerships and fundraising towards a 2-year Urban Design Build Project at the Boston Architectural College.
Our mission is to create a site of educational and economic opportunity and to support healthy food access in the process by supplying the Frederick Douglass Market in Roxbury, MA. The PC is committed to participating in the Boston Redevelopment Authority’s agricultural re-zoning initiative by participating in city meetings. The PC will engage professional education through design-build curriculum at the Boston Architectural College and will present its work internationally at the first annual Urban Agriculture Summit in Toronto in August 2012.
Your donation will be used to directly fund construction of the pilot system, to help us get started with this exciting project. Our goal is $5500 and every little bit helps! Check out our Productive Collective Support Tiers to find out what you'll receive when you donate, or buy Our Schwag directly from our site.
$50, $20, $10, $5 - chip in what you can, and support our work in community urban agriculture!
Thanks! The PC
