Organized by: Project Elixir
Project Elixir aims to help underprivileged children by allowing them to to obtain education and unlock their potential. Through creating library spaces and maintaining long term involvement in serviced communities, Project Elixir seeks to use education as a tool of empowerment, take an active role in their communities, and to help humanity break the cycle of poverty by starting the cycle of education. Project Elixir seeks to change the world, one child at a time.
Currently, we are fundraising to kickstart our first project in Lahore, Pakistan. We aim to build a library space to supply local Pakistani children with a wealth of both Urdu and English books to give them the opportunity to be inspired while staying true to their culture. Additionally, we aim for our books to have a role in fostering non curriculum based learning. The library space will also be used as a place to enhance the community. Project Elixir recognises that in many government run schools around the world there is not adequate funding to buy sufficient teaching supplies. In addition to supplying books and creating a community oriented space, we will also take care to meet the needs for such items by supplying fundamental teaching and learning materials.
This is not a project where we simply empower the individuals we work with - this is one where we aspire to give people the tools to empower themselves. Our hope is not to build one extravagant library to neglect once built, but to rather build many simple spaces where we can inspire an even wider scope of children to pass the elixir of community and education to.
