2017 Annual Fund Closing - New Fund Opening!
August 30, 2017

Thank you to everyone who gave to the Project Exploration 2017 Annual Fund! Your contributions helped us continue to provide STEM programs to  See more

BENEFITING: PROJECT EXPLORATION

EVENT DATE: Nov 29, 2016

THE STORY:

Project Exploration seeks to empower and mentor underrepresented youth through science, technology and engineering in out-of-school experiential programs led by university students and skilled professionals.

Since 1999, Project Exploration has provided a variety of out-of-school-time programs in science, technology and engineering for underrepresented youth in grades 6-12.

The program’s skilled facilitators and professionals mentor and lead students in hands-on group activities, introducing them to topics that they find interesting and exciting.

This science-rich education addresses challenges to equity, access, and opportunity in public education, higher education, and the professional STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) environment.

If you believe that education is a right that shouldn’t have to be fought for, we share your pain at this inequity. Please consider these costs listed below as a guide when considering a donation. Your support changes the lives of these students, giving them the education that they deserve as human beings. With your help, these students are able to discover not only science and technology but themselves as well. The donation might seem small to you, or it might seem monumental; the truth is, your support means more than you know and more than we can describe. Through your generosity, no matter how small, you are empowering students who feel powerless and helping to create skilled and able adults.

$50    - Allows us to host one interactive lesson for a class of students

$75    - Supports one STEM professional so that they can continue to teach and inspire

$150  - Supports a STEM facilitator to teach for one session

$500  - Supports a day-long, interactive field trip to teach our students about future careers in science and technology

$1000 - Supports a retreat to give students experience in leadership and important professional skills

$5000 - Supports an entire semester of one program for our students

We are Project Exploration, and we are changing the face of science. Will you?
