BENEFITING: PROJECT HEAL - HELP TO EAT ACCEPT & LIVE
ORGANIZER: PROJECT HEAL - HELP TO EAT ACCEPT & LIVE
I was first diagnosed with anorexia at 10 years old. Thanks to my resourceful family, access to quality treatment, awesome friends, and a good insurance plan - I recovered, and am now helping others to do the same through my work with Project HEAL. Please help me save more lives.
Eating disorders are one of the most stigmatized, underfunded, and under-recognized of all mental health disorders. Despite having some of the strongest genetic and neurobiological underpinnings of all mental illnesses, and one of the highest mortality rates, many people still think of eating disorders as a “choice” or a “vanity issue.” Project HEAL intends to change this. We’re making huge waves in an unchartered area, and by getting involved with us and this campaign, you can have a massive impact on changing the narrative around an issue that affects up to 30 million Americans (the majority of whom don't get treatment!)
Join the Project HEAL family by sending more treatment grant applicants to the care they need through the Revlon Love is On challenge! All donations will go directly to our treatment grant fund.
Project HEAL is the largest non-profit in the US that raises funds for eating disorder treatment., promotes healthy body image and self esteem, and inspires sufferers that full recovery from an eating disorder is possible. The cofounders met after recovering from anorexia at 15. They’ve funded 57 comprehensive recovery journeys, opened 40 chapters worldwide, have 18k followers on FB and Instagram, and have engaging sponsors like Arianna Huffington and UBER, and significant press like Refinery 29 and People.
