BENEFITING: GREAT CIRCLE
Over my seven years of being a member of BSA (Boy Scouts of America), I've learned so much about what it takes to be a leader in the world and the different ways a person can make an impact on a community. Being a Boy Scout has shaped me into the young man I am today. For my Eagle Scout project, I wanted to undertake a project that I was passionate about, had the ambition to complete, challenged my leadership skills, and leave a lasting mark on a community. For the past eight months, I've been working with a nonprofit organization called Great Circle. Great Circle is behavioral health agency that works with kids diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Emotional Behavior. At Great Circle they have a Respite House that is used for the kids to have a temporary home while there guardian is away for the reason being. I will be building a fence in the backyard that will run 250ft and stand at 4ft to 6ft high. At the end of my project I will be implementing a playground so the kids at the Respite House have a place to stay active.
I plan to have the construction started in early September. Im so excited to get my project going and I cant wait to see the final result. I will keep everyone updated on the progress of Project Respite House weekly. Thanks so much for helping me finish my project with this great organization.
