SCCF services for seniors is unique in that we assist seniors who need eyeglasses, hearing aids, dentures and dental care. Project Thrive focuses on this and our mobile dental clinics. In order to expand wisely, we are adding 14 AmeriCorps Members. Since January 2012, I 've been the only full-time employee and now it is time for us to grow! Today, we added our second full-time employee, Erica, a Program Director. She will help ensure that the seniors receive the compassionate care and assistance, for which they have been so grateful to date, giving me more time to be the administrator (President). We have received some fantastic grants that starting July 2017, for the next twelve months, we will be able to provide 110 mobile clinic days to seniors in care facilities, assisted living and senior apartments, in seven Northern Utah counties: Davis, Salt Lake, Summit, Tooele, Utah, Wasatch, and Weber. Now, we need your support to help us meet the match required by the AmeriCorps grant (also approved to start this grant in October 2017). Please join Dan and me in raising funds for a cause that means the difference of potential homelessness vs essential health care for our elders in need. Bobbi, before and after our assistance with dental care, is just one of over eleven hundred seniors who are extremely grateful for the assistance we have provided.
