Each year, more than 300 Rock County teens are identified as unaccompanied and homeless. Project 16:49 works to ensure these youth have access to the services and support they need to complete their high school education, and increase their self-sufficiency as they transition into adulthood. Project 16:49 assists unaccompanied homeless youth with their basic needs, and provides referrals to appropriate community resources based on their specific situations. Additional case management services are available to help youth with their individual goals, focusing in the key areas of: housing, income & employment, education & career, health, social-emotional development, and independent living/life skills. Project 16:49 also operates Robin House transitional living home for female students.
