One in five women and many men will be sexually assaulted during their time at college. Most survivors never report their assault, and those who do often find the reporting experience retraumatizing. I am fundraising for Sexual Health Innovations to give survivors the trustworthy, transparent, and supportive reporting process they deserve: Callisto.
Callisto is a third-party sexual assault reporting system that allows sexual assault survivors to complete an incident report online, receive a clear explanation of their reporting options, and then either submit the report to their chosen authority or save it as a time-stamped record. Survivors can log back in at any time to officially report their assault or can opt to automatically report if someone else reports the same assailant. Callisto is designed to create a more empowering reporting experience for survivors and increase identification of repeat assailants, who commit 90% of campus assaults.
Sexual Health Innovations hopes to launch Callisto in the fall of 2015. Your donation will support thousands of college sexual assault survivors.
