BENEFITING: TUESDAYS CHILDREN
Our annual peace and healing symposium is currently under way and we need YOUR help to cover the shortfall in our budget for this year. Your contribution will go directly to cover the costs of the symposium as well as the travel for all participants to join us this year. We need your help to empower youth who have the desire and the motivation to be the change they wish to see in the world. From tragedy can spring hope. Our past is changing the future!
Project COMMON BOND brings together teens, ages 15-20, from around the world who share a ‘common bond’ — the loss of a family member due to an act of terrorism, violent extremism or war.
Inspired by 9/11 children wanting to reach out to others worldwide who have experienced similar loss, Tuesday's Children created Project COMMON BOND as an international community to empower youth, foster positive personal growth, promote intercultural understanding and encourage community action. Launched in 2008, Project COMMON BOND has created an international community of teenagers and young adults from 20 nations and territories. Participants engage in a dialogue of healing and community building and learn conflict negotiation and peace-building skills, all to create positive change in their lives and communities.
Participating countries include Algeria, Argentina, Croatia, England, France, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Kenya, Liberia, Macedonia, Morocco, Nigeria, Northern Ireland, Pakistan, Palestine, Russia, Spain, Sri Lanka and the United States.
Help bring together teens from around the world to engage in peacebuilding and create positive change in their lives and communities!
