Doctors in Liberia can’t fight Ebola because they do not have enough rubber gloves to protect themselves. At one hospital, the last shipment included only one box of 50 gloves for the whole staff. That was in January.
There are many more supplies needed, but we are focusing on the gloves.
Through my research, I found a company that sells a box of 1000 gloves for $40.00. We are trying to raise $1600 to ship 40,000 gloves to Liberia.
The University of Massachusetts has agreed to help us with the shipment if we can provide the gloves.
I am selling lemonade, cookies, having a garage sale, and other things to raise the money that we need to buy gloves.
$40 = 1000 gloves!
