BENEFITING: Project Hope
ORGANIZER: Project Hope
EVENT: 2015 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 20, 2015
I never in my right mind thought I would attempt to run a marathon. I was always on the spectator side of the event thinking people were crazy for wanting to run that distance. After the tragic marathon events a couple of years ago it really put things into perspective and it gave me the desire to want to run for the great city of Boston.
I’m excited to partner with Project Hope to fulfill this ambition. Project Hope has given me not only the opportunity to push myself to the max, but has also given me the opportunity to raise money and support a great cause. I’ll be training with my good friends from Bentley University, Mike Cully and Daniel Kane. We have been graced with some rough wintry conditions, but together we will be motivating one another and pushing ourselves to reach our goal while dedicated to this cause.
Project Hope is a multi-service agency at the forefront of efforts in Boston to move families up and out of poverty. It provides low-income women with children access to education, jobs, housing, and emergency services; fosters their personal transformation; and works for broader systems change. And thank you to everyone for donating to Project Hope and supporting this goal for me. I will take pride in being able to contribute and put a smile and many families’ faces.
