"Every 4 hours an LGBTQ Youth dies on the street.."

That is a pretty scary statistic. What is even scarier is that many of these youth have no chance at survival due to the lack of resources available to them.

While there are many shelters and youth organizations that work hard to provide for the needs of the many youth on the streets today, the truth of the matter is, many do not qualify. Many programs have age cut-offs, not enough funding, or total lack of resources to properly aid everyone.

"Almost 70 percent of homeless/displaced LGBTQ Youth say they have sought assistance through a youth-service agency at least once, only to be turned away."

"Nearly 75 percent have said they exchanged sex for money because it was the only sure way to support themselves."

Project Lifeline seeks to help change this very real and scary scenario facing many LGBTQ Youth in 3 ways:

1. Provide emergency funding for housing, food, and clothing to the most at-risk youth.

2. Provide additional funding to already existing non-profit programs and LGBTQ community centers that focus on homeless/displaced youth.

3. Create a private and corporate network of donors to enhance services to our lost youth.

Our funding goal of $25k will help to fund existing shelters with badly needed supplies and materials, and it will help to provide to over 100 homeless youth with emergency needs.

100% of the funds collected go directly to helping Homeless LGBTQ Youth, Project: Lifeline is run by volunteers and all administrative costs are paid out of pocket by its volunteers.

We were all young once. We all remember the fear of coming out, or the fear of rejection from family, friends and loved ones. For some of us, rejection has resulted in escaping to the streets. Lets step up and do what we can to help support and direct our younger brothers and sisters..
