On September 26, 2009, Typhoon Ondoy brought torrential rainfall to Metro Manila. The tragedies of Typhoon Ondoy present yet another opportunity to work together in extending a hand. More recently in the summer of 2012, several catastophic storms flooded central Manila and left thousands without a home or shelter.
The core vision of Project Overflow is to raise support for survivors of natural disasters in the Philippines.
Project Overflow was started in 2009 by Enrique Carlos, Mike Adalante, Mary Suzanne de la Cruz, Cheska Tolentino, Jensine de la Cruz, Anthony Karl Ruda and several New Jersey Fil-Am leaders. We endeavor to engage Fil-Ams in the East Coast to to use their skills and talents to give an overflow of help to those who need it the most.
