Last fall and winter PPC Foundation Cofounder and Director Kimberly Kinnecom made the commitment to run 78.6 miles to raise awareness about and funds for PPC. It was a huge challenge, but she made three personal records and was totally inspired by the challenge. This year, she's taking the challenge to a whole new level: she is committing to 13 runs, and is asking YOU to join the 2013 awareness campaign, Project PPC Hope.
Join the team, make a donation, and give the gift of HOPE!
Being involved is easy! Join the team here on crowdrise.com, find an event to participate with in your community, and start raising funds for Project PPC Hope by sharing a special link with your family, friends and networks. Or, make a donation to support a Project PPC Hope team member.
Where will donations go?
Unlike large organizations like Komen or Jimmy Fund, where it's not easy to see the impact of a gift, when you donate to the PPC Foundation, even the smallest gifts have a huge impact.
The funds raised will help support and grow the Primary Peritoneal Cancer Foundation, allowing the organization to enhance current programs and add new services for PPC patients and their families. A portion of the funds raised will be donated to some cutting edge research and treatment being done by Dr. Armando Sardi, Director of The Institute for Cancer Care and Director of Surgical Oncology at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore. This research and HIPEC treatment is prolonging lives and truly making a difference. Funding received will be very beneficial in the Foundation's efforts to bring HIPEC awareness to Gynecologic Oncologists throughout the country. It will also help fund programming of symptom awareness and testing programs.
Your donations will impact the lives of people who have the same disease that Martha did; you will be giving them and their families the gift of HOPE.
Thank you so much for supporting the PPC Foundation mission!
Keep Hope Alive!
