My Mother-In-Law, Marilyn Wetjen died 17 years ago from pancreatic cancer. It is deadly, silent killer!
Join me with the help of Project Purple to rid this cancer-now. My small way to do this is to run marathons for charity. Please give as much as you can.
The Bank of America Chicago Marathon is the pinnacle of achievement for elite athletes and everyday runners alike. On race day, runners from all 50 states and more than 100 countries will set out to accomplish a personal dream by reaching the finish line in Grant Park. Join the Project Purple team, and make that dream a reality as you run with us to beat pancreatic cancer!
Why Project Purple? Pancreatic cancer is the 4th leading cause of cancer related deaths and is projected to be the 2nd by 2020. In spite of these deadly statistics, however, it is the least funded of the top 10 cancer killers. We need to do more - we have lost one too many loved ones to this evil cancer!
Pancreatic cancer doesn't rest, so neither will we! Run with Project Purple, and help us raise awareness and funds towards a cure, early detection methods, and patient financial aid.
