Why another 26.2?
Because I want to run 4 of the major U.S. marathons for Project Purple and everything they do to fight pancreatic cancer.
Because everything I take on is still for my mother, the person she was, and the way she lived her life for others.
Because running has given me consistency when everything else has been chaos.
Because I've found a team I want to continue to fight alongside for years to come.
Because cancer sucks.
Pancreatic cancer is the 4th leading cause of cancer related deaths and is projected to be the 2nd by 2020. In spite of these deadly statistics, however, it is the least funded of the top 10 cancer killers. Project Purple raises awareness and funds towards a cure, early detection methods, and patient financial aid. Check out their work at run4projectpurple.com
