BENEFITING: PROJECT PURPLE
ORGANIZER: PROJECT PURPLE
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
The NYC Marathon is the largest marathon in the World. Only 18% of all applicants are awarded the opportunity to being a part of this unforgetable experience. I've run many marathons, but this one will have a special meaning to me. I am no longer running for myself and my own enjoyment and accomplishment. I am running for my uncle, who has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The challenge of the 26.2 miles of the marathon is nothing in comparison to the challenge that my uncle, and all others battling pancreatic cancer face. On Nov. 6th, 2016, the streets of New York City will shut down for more than 50,000+ people to run through its 5 boroughs. During this time ,I will have the honor of running with Project Purple and its team members in raising awareness for pancreatic cancer. Each year has been larger and more successful than the last, and I am excited to be a part of the team for 2016.
The 2016 TCS NYC Marathon will be my most anticipated and rewarding race to date. Please join me and donate to help in raising awareness for everyone affected by pancreatic cancer! I will personally be matching the first $500 raised. Also, Your donations are tax deductible. Whether you decide to donate, and no matter how big or small, every contribution makes a difference and I appreciate your thought and time. THANK YOU.
