Hello Friends, Family, Colleagues-
As many of you know, in September of last year I lost an important person in my life... my mom's best friend Jane. To say that Jane was irreplaceable would be an understatement- her passing left a huge void in the lives of her family & friends as she was the glue that bonded us all and brought us together.
Jane was the most loving, caring, warm, funny person you could meet and she filled my mom's life with laughter, adventure, mischief and lots & lots of love over the course of their 50+ years as best friends. They met in summer camp when they were 9 years old and were "peeps" ever since. Every time my mom would visit Jane, she'd come back with a new funny (often embarrassing) story, something from the Short Hills mall which Jane convinced her to buy, and her appreciation for having a lifelong best friend who she always had the best time with and who introduced her to things they had in New Jersey that hadn't quite made it to Vermont yet (like Netflix, Haagen Daz, and eyebrow threading).
We miss Jane every day and will continue to come together in her honor to remember her and to remain hopeful that one day no one will have to suffer from Pancreatic Cancer. Thank you for supporting this great cause - Project Purple - whose mission is to find a cure for pancreatic cancer and improve the lives of patients through support, hope, and compassion.... And for keeping the spirit of Jane alive. We will forever be Team Jane :)
With deep gratitude,
