If you know me, you know my love for marathons. There is something metaphorical, even magical, about them. It’s triumph over struggle through sheer will and determination....but when you’re running for a cause it has a way of carrying you. When you hit a wall and don’t think you can take one more step you remember why you’re running - For those who can’t run for themselves, for those who we’ve lost and can’t get back, for those who have no idea the illness and struggles they’ll someday face.
In November, I have the honor of running the 2017 TCS New York City marathon for Project Purple whose mission is to raise awareness and funds toward a cure for pancreatic cancer.
I’ll run the 26.2 miles across the 5 boroughs of New York pushing myself to the limit both physically and mentally for my grandfather, Peter Manzo, who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in 2000.
Too many people have lost love ones to this horrible cancer. You can help change that by supporting Project Purple and donating toward a cure for pancreatic cancer.
Thank you in advance for your donation! You may help save a life!
