Friends of Sarah via Crowdri...
March 21, 2012
Sarah is 12 years old and a 7th grader in Knoxville. On May 28, 2011 she was injured in a horrific traffic accident. She suffered a spinal cord injury and is paralyzed from the waist down.
Sarah receives intensive physical therapy at Project Walk Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Center in Atlanta. Sarah's doctors believe she is a good candidate for this type of neurorecovery work and, in fact, Sarah recently stood on her own with no support! The hope is that Sarah can regain more movement, possibly even learning to walk again. Project Walk has successfully rehabilitated many spinal cord injured paraplegics. Read about their amazing work and watch inspiring videos - Project Walk
Sarah's school and her family and friends are raising funds for her recovery. Project Walk is not covered by insurance and Sarah's family cannot afford to pay.
Congratulations to Sarah, crowned Little Miss Wheelchair Tennessee 2012 !
Thanks and G_d bless Naomi Bryne and friends in Cumming, Georgia and in Alpharetta Georgia, home of Project Walk. Naomi raised $1400 in a very short time for Sarah's boarding expenses in Alpharetta. Naomi is also planning to bring some homemade dinners to Catherine and Sarah! How sweet is that?!
