BENEFITING: HOGAR DE LA PROMESA
Promise Home is a Rescue Project for orphaned children in Honduras, the second poorest country in Central America. The project is building homes to house 200 children initially. This unique project is hoped to be self sustaining over time through raising Tilapia in 15 pools and via an African Palm farm. The children are rescued from underfunded state run orphanages where conditions are deplorable. The children there are undernourished, often in need of medical attention and always in need of love and attention. These children ages 3-5 are so neglected, that they become aggressive in fighting each other for the attention of the few visitors they receive. Their diet largely consists of white rice. Promise Home's vision is more than just to improve their living situation, it is to give them a home with their own missionary families. I personally visited this project in 2012 and will be going on a mission trip this year with my church. Please open your heart and wallets for this worthy cause. I also invite you to join my fundraising team and consider going on a mission trip this year with our church or organize a mission trip with your own church or organization. We can all make a difference one child at a time.
