"On a regular basis, children and youth report that school is a home to them – a place where they see the same faces, sit in the same seat, and can put their hearts and minds into pursuits that ease their daily troubles."

I bought a home about 3 years ago cash with hopes of fixing it up. I've been doing things here and there but things have not been going as planned. The things I buy for the home end up getting taken (stolen). An inspector I have working over my house says I need to go full speed when fixing(remodeling) the inside of my house because as soon as I bring it in the front door, they take it out the back. I saw a story on a local news station about the number of homeless kids that go to the schools in my neighboring district. I since then did a little internet searching to find the article and have since decided to use the house I bought to house the homeless children that attend school in my area. I figured since I was undecided on what to do with the house, why not do something I love to do. I love helping people. Now, I am enlisting the communities help in trying to take this thing full speed and get it done hopefully by next start of school in August, 2015. Whether it be cash, gift cards, materials, volunteered help, anything would be greatly appreciated.
The numbers are on the rise:
