Clothes To Kids of Denver provides FREE school clothing to 3 - 21 year old students from low-income or in-crisis families in a warm, welcoming store-like setting in Denver. The hope is that when students have the clothing they need to feel comfortable and confident in the classroom, they will better be able to focus on their studies and fit in with their peers. Without Clothes To Kids, thousands of Denver area students would go without school clothing and basics each year. In 2016 almost 8,000 children received a 21 piece wardrobe from Clothes To Kids of Denver. The boutique stocks a wide selection of clean, stylish, top quality clothing (both new and gently used) in all of our departments.
The Clothes To Kids Wardrobe consists of:
5 pairs of new underwear
5 pairs of new socks 4 bottoms (shorts, pants or skirts)
1 dress (optional)
1 pair of shoes
1 coat or jacket Extras (accessories, school supplies, books, winter hats and gloves etc – if available)
My daughter Hannah hosted a "Socks in the City" Drive recently for her Bat Mitzvah project and collected over 600 pairs of new socks for the Back To School drive. Clothes to Kids will start dressing students for back to school on July 1 and is on track to provide wardrobes to almost 10,000 students in 2017. My wife Victoria and our daughters have volunteered for Clothes To Kids for the past three years. Victoria serves on the Community Action Council and works as an ambassador for Clothes To Kids in the community. The Denver office recently hosted a clothing drive to help fill the shelves and y'all were very generous.
