BENEFITING: CHICAGO LIGHTS
EVENT DATE: May 18, 2017
On July 30, 2017, I will be joining a few colleagues from PPM America (as well as our affiliates Jackson and Prudential U.K.) as a participant in the Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 bike race. Prudential Ride London is an annual bike race that began in 2013 as a lasting legacy of the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games. We will be cycling the same course as the olympic cyclists did (albeit at a much slower pace!). Although I've done a number of running races (half marathons and 10Ks), this will be my first ever bike race (100 miles, go big or go home, right?)
As an ametuer biker (with a heavy emphasis on amatuer), I will be participating in this race to raise money for charity, and specifically for Chicago Lights. Chicago Lights is a community outreach program of Fourth Presbyterian Church where I have been a member since 2007.
Chicago Lights provides hope and opportunity to Chicago's children, youth, and adults who face the challenges of poverty. Through supportive relationships and diverse programs, its mission is to empower people to thrive academically, secure economic stability, lead healthy lives, and build community. Chicago Lights offers five signature programs, three of which I will be raising money to support: (1) Tutoring, (2) Summer Day Camp, and (3) Social Service Center.
Please join me in raising money for this great cause!
