The 2013 Moore tornado was a deadly tornado that occurred on the afternoon of May 20, 2013. The EF5 tornado, with peak winds estimated at 210 miles per hour (340 km/h), impacted Moore, Oklahoma, and adjacent areas, killing at least 24 people, including 10 children, and injuring more than 350 others. The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management said about 2,400 homes were damaged and 10,000 people were affected.
PSEG's North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NAYGN) group will be helping out by raising funds to support the American Red Cross both electronically on this website and through our on-site pretzel fundraiser. All proceeds will go directly to the American Red Cross to support the Oklahoma tornado disaster relief efforts.
