PTSD Recovery For Veterans
Organized by: Lorenzo Arellano
PTSD is abolutely terrible. My name is Lorenzo Arellano and I have PTSD. After serving 6 years in the Marines and deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan, I found myself lost. I became anti social, depressed, angry, and unhealthy. Coming from a tribal community of brothers to being alone as a civilian was rough. I'd like to offer veterans a safe place to come to in order to unwind and be around their tribe. Many veterans do not have the support system they need and deserve. Depression, suicide, PTSD, and homelessness are real issues many veterans face in todays world. My goal is to purchase a small piece of land and ,through community outreach and support, turn it into a safe haven for veterans. The land will house an Aquaponics farm, greenhouse, farm animals, physical fitness stations, a fire pit, and other wonderful community building facilities. The veterans will work the land and give back to the Salvation Army and homeless shelters. I feel that through positive outreach and development, we can build a safe place for veterans and families to come enjoy their time together. Thank you for your time and consideration. Respectfully, Lorenzo Arellano USMC Veteran
