Still going strong
June 01, 2016
BENEFITING: TEAM RED WHITE & BLUE
EVENT DATE: Mar 14, 2016
Nicholas Jansen is a Disabled Army Veteran who suffers and survived from post-traumatic stress disorder. In October 2014, he was going to take his own life due to the struggles with PTSD. He reached out for help and got the help he needed. He is now a survivor and an advocate for Veterans, Soldiers, and Civilians suffering from PTSD. Help raise money for Team RWB to support and assist Veterans, Civilians, and others who suffer from PTSD
Any monies donated to Crowd Rise are going directly to Team RWB. The money will be used in hope to establish facilities for Veterans and Soldiers suffering from PTSD and offer them the ability to enter a safe and judgement free zone to seek treatment. The therapies that will be available will be a combination of therapies such as, prolonged exposure, narrative therapy, Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), Family, Brief psychodynamic psychotherapy, group therapy, and cognitive therapy. Based on experience the therapists at VA facilities do not offer a combination of therapies by one therapist. They do offer multiple services but none of which used as a combination in one sitting. The facilities will use group therapy and offer a combination of therapies that are comfortable for the person suffering from PTSD. There will be no time limits for how long treatments last, and there will be stations in the facility where Vets and Soldiers can go and meditate. If you are not a Soldier or a Veteran the facility will be open to you as well.
ALL MONEY RAISED IS GOING DIRECTLY TO TEAM RWB IN HOPES OF OPENING FACILITIES TO ASSIST WITH TREATMENT OF PTSD!
